When we think of Diwali 2013 a image it up in our mind that consist of Light all around and different kind of food all around. Apart from sending Diwali Wishes If it is Diwali Festival week and we not try couple of new recipes than it is of no use. Before 2-3 days female member of family start preparing there traditional dishes for other family member and relatives that approach your house in this festival week. People has a tradition of exchanging the sweets with neighbors or friends or the special item they make. There are many many different food item that are prepared in Diwali as per the tradition. The most conman dishes people make is Gulab Jamun, Gajar Ka Halwa, Besan Ke Ladoo, Karanji and Jalebis.

Not only this making of Dahi-bhalle in diwali week is becoming popular widely in south India. Making of Diwali food is also dependent on the family culture and tradition. How to make Doodhi ka Halwa, Dilkushar, Dry Fruit Barfi, Kharek ka Halwa, Malai Pedas etc are some question that rise up when we think of making something new. Many many mouth are waiting and watering for the Diwali food -- Here are some recipes that you would like to try on this Diwali 2013.

Gajar Halwa or Gajar ka Halwa Recipes : This food is widely made in diwali every house make Gajar ka Halwa it's same like Gujiya made in holy it must. however is little time consuming but without this Deepawali celebration is incomplete. It is easy to make but very very tasty delicious and also not bad for health as it contain milk, carrots, Sugur, dry fruits so its source of a bundle of Vitamin A. Step to make Gajar ka Halwa for 5 serving is:
Ingredients Required:
  • Mawa (khoya) - 1 cups
  • Medium sized Fresh Carrot - 8 to 10
  • Low fat milk - 2 cups
  • Skimmed milk powder - 6 tbsp (TableSpoon )
  • Sugar - according to taste (about 4-5 tbsp)
  • Green elaichi powder - 1/4 tbsp
  • Raisins - 10 to 15
  • Dry fruits - as you like
Method to Make :
Firstly, wash and grate carrots, wash raisins, dry fruits ans dry them. Now, you need to heat the Ghee and ass grated carrots and stire fro 5 min. Then after Add milk,elachi powder and cook it at medium heat for 6 to 7 min until carrots are fully cooked. Stir in Khoya ans suger and cook for 5 to 6 min till suger get fully mixed. Now it all done garnish it with Dry fruits, raisins etc. Serve it hot.

Diwali Special Besan Ladoo Recipe : Ladoos are one of the most liked Indian sweets when it is made specially for diwali than you can't stop yourself to trying it. Not only in diwali it is widely made and eaten in every small or big occasion like parties, any new thing you buy etc. It is very easy to make Besan ke ladoo and can also preserve it for 5-6 days. There are may type of ladoo made like Motichoor Ka Ladoo, Sounth Ke Ladoo, Nariyal ka Ladoo, Aate Ka Ladoo, Til Ka Ladoo but over all these best in taste easy to make is Besan Ladoo.
Ingredients Required 
  • Gram Flour (Besan) - 4 cups
  • Pure Ghee - 1 cup
  • sugar - 2 cups
  • Cardamom Powdered(elachi) - 1 tsp
  • Dry fruits - for Garnish
 Method:
Firstly, Heat the ghee and add Gram Flour stir continuously till color of Besan becomes deep brown. Take care not to burn the flour its better to Roast it at low flame with constant stirring. Now allow the flour to cool at room temperature. Add powdered sugar and elachi in the flour and mix it well with the hot melted Ghee. Now it all done time to give it a shape when mixture is hot enough to handle just make ladoo or can give it a square shape for Special Burfi.
